stuck on 1.7.6

Vu+ Newbie
Have have been using blackhole 1.7.6 and keep getting the stuck on starting problem ,never had this before so decided to go back a few.
I now cant flash any other ,the usual flash drive i use cant be read from the front ,tried 3 other flash drives with the same result the box just starts , reading usb flashes up for a split second and then carries on to start.
Never had a problem with any of these drives ,one was new a month ago bought just to use on the universe ,funny thing is all 4 have been used on the universe at some point thinking the "stuck on starting" was a flash drive problem.
All drives have been formatted prior to putting the files on for flashing.
Not sure what to do now but I'm going to buy another flash drive today.

I have managed to sort the flash drives out ,formatting in windows and linux wouldn't do anything for the drives.
I used the hp flash drive utility and they work again now and i was able to reflash the box, went back to 1.7.4 ,just need to use it too see if i still get the "stuck on starting" problem.
 
I have the same problem in v1.76 & v1.77, FREEZING ON "STARTING ...."
I upgraded to CFE bootloader v3 but no way. then I returned back to v1.75 (it works fine).
Any solutions?

have U made sure that the STP is not a colon by doning Return the Love @ the Plug-in procedures!

After CFE upgrade, I suggest to reflash the image you want.
