Swap on USB stick?

Why dont't make swap on usb?
My usb is a no name 1Gb format in FAT(not fat32) monted at media/usb, activated swap with 128mb, and every time check in system monitor panel swap is 0%, and my box crashes sometimes.
Must be format in vu+ or not.
On this stick i have picon.

My image BH 1.6.6
 
I deleted all crash.log when changed image in BH1.6.6, now i wait, but when i play youtube ram memory is 98% and swap is 0%
