Timer problem

Hi all,
I have Vu uno and my problem is that I can't work with timer function.
My HDD is mounted to media/hdd. I go to timer menu, program the time and channel but nothing is happening. I can't find the recorder file in the HDD menu (through media player function).
Can someone help me?
