Is the format of the timers.xml file published anywhere?

I’m looking at building some code to add and edit timers and I’m keen to ensure it can handle all options

I’m also keen to know if I need to kick off any process after an edit / overwrite is done to ensure that added or changed timers are picked up by the box and executed
