Ok guys, I have trawled the internet and forums and cannot find a step by step guide or similar which results in the ability to view any channels from my VU+ DUO2 outside of my network. I have signed up for a dyndns account but am unable to go any further. Has anyone managed to successfully configure the box to work?
Port 8001 in your router forward to LAN address of your vuduo2, connect to the vuduo2 via Open Webif in your local area (LAN), in bouquets section press TV symbol near your bouquet you want to watch and it will create m3u file with your favorite channels. Open this m3u file with notepad++ and you will see something like
LAN IP addresses (in my example 192.168.1.55) change with your dyndns domain name, save it and if port 8001 is forwarded correctly (I think it is static in your net), open this m3u with VLC Player everywhere, where internet is fast enough and you'll see these favorite channels. But don't forget about a huge amount of leech, scanning for open ports with streaming video It will be safe to open 8001 port only for specific address, or some addresses, from which you want to watch your streams. If someone is leeching, you'll see by the used tuners. If many leechers, you'll see a message "There is no free tuner"
Ok, Managed to get everything up and running. I've used dreamdroid on my phone and used the dyndns on my laptop and viewed everything through the webif. How can I set it up so that I would be the only one that can access my channels?
Duo2 por solo2 support the transcoding function.which modelo do you have.
The second icon is the button next to each channel when you enter to the webif of tour box

2nd icon is really not here for lot of user , but you can access stream port 8002 with lot of apply , get update for openwebif > in plugin , and press red button then find openwebif.
