turn HDMI off on standby

Hi guys, I run my solo2 through a hdmi auto switch for my tv, on standby the screen stays black and the box keeps sending a signal to my switch but on deep standby the signal is turned off and the switch goes to the next source, which is what I want. I need this on standby though,to allow me to stream when the box is in standby and not deep standby as i cant stream. I am running the latest BH image and have tried HDMI cec but setting the solo2 on stanby to source inactive changes nothing, and the box does the same. is there another workaround that anyone knows of?
 
OK so have searched quite extensively on this subject and it would seem this is a driver issue with the vu+ box in the sense that a HDMI signal is still sent during standby something to do with the gui, can anybody shed any light on this as its a nightmare for my auto HDMI switch and the only thing that is a negative for me on what is an otherwise very good price of kit
