Ultimo 4k bh 3.0.8 - random sound cut

hey guys,

I have an issue I hadn’t with my duo2, may be a driver issue with the ultimo4k ?

This is totally random : when reading a movie with EMC, there is a sound cut every 2-3 minutes, may be less, may be more. It last less than 1 sec but the sound drops then come back and this is really annoying. It can be DTS, DD or pcm audio tracks, result is the same.

I had also this problem on some channels but not all, Some with DD, other not.

I don’t find a correlation between the audio tracks and since this is totally random, it is really difficult for me to troubleshoot and give you correct information.

I use the toslink output from the ultimo. I configure BH to :
DD default : yes
All downmix : NO
PCM multichannel : YES
No delay

Any idea on how to troubleshoot this problem ?

As usual, when there i s a doubt that an issue is HW or SW, you must change the SW.
You could reinstall the same image, without adding any plugins or, even better, you can install a different image, particularly OBH (where you don't even need EMC to browse your media contents) and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I updated the bootloader and it seems more stable now, no more sound drops this evening.

Hope this will last... will keep you posted if this is not the case.
