I found some photo with Uno 4k. (I have not it.)
On them CPU cooler almost touches contacts of tuner receptacle. (Two projections at the bottom of the cooler)
Can it make short circuit?
Anybody can make more photos?
How do you mean to make short circuit with hammer ?
Look at your photos ,
The cooling is tightly attached
The connector has a black bezel which prevents any contact with the connecting pins
This is absolutely impossible without the use of hammer
I do not have the same opinion.
The short circuit is impossible without a mechanical breakdown on the socket or on the connector.
But if you're so worried, put insulation.
That silver dot, just behind your arrows, is a support for the heatsink, that is secured to the pcb (there is 2 of them on the heatsink, 1 each side of the cpu).
It is not possible for the heatsink to touch those pins (or anything else) unless someone causes damage to it.
Thread is not about that "dots". I saw that supports and they are far from something.
Thread about distance between tuner connector's receptacle pins and cooler.

I can not put any insulation because slit is wavelike between coolers hills and pins.
I had to open my box.
Your story has absolutely no basis.
Distance is more than enough in my box lowest cooler rib distance from tuner connector pins is about 3 millimeters
Tuner, tuner connector and the cooler are fixed..
How do you mean to make a short circuit without mechanically making a break of connectors or cooler.
So for me, the story ended.
Please note that I'm an electronics engineer over 40 years.

If you're so worried.
You can fix a piece of plastic foil with on two, three points a bit glue.
At least this is not a problem.
I do not see the need for it, but you may see it.
I bought two times from hm-sat-shop
And two times they shipped beanbag. Receiver box fly in postage big box. Although this is prohibited by postal rules.
I do not know why your thermocouple is not in touch with the heatsink .
You have to check it out.
If it is not then you need a thicker or another thermocouple layer.
I do not know where these photos are from.
We do not allow photos with adverts web addresses.
I would ask you to avoid it.
