Upgrade an old firmware using Vu+ duo

Hi all, I am thinking upgrade my Vu+ duo to the most recent firmware.

I am using a very old.......firmware:

Kernel version: 3.1.1
Firmware version: BlackHole 1.7.6
Gui version: Jul 7 2012-vuplus_experimental

I wish to find out what is the easy way to upgrade without losing any settings. Sorry, I haven't used or touched Vu+ duo for the last 6 years due to the 'Power supply' issue & only had it fixed last week. :)
