VTI image Hard Drive Initialization

Does anyone know what would cause the hard drive to need to be initialized every time i plug in/out the VU+ solo?

I plug out both the HD and the VU box going to bed each night

I was thinking maybe the box turns on quicker than the HD once both are plugged back in, would that be the cause? Should i just leave the HD plugged in all the time?
 
Try To Power the HDD first wait 1-2 minute then power on the VU+ Solo.
If Your HDD is on an External powered USB Hub This is a MUST.
