Vu box not rebooting after interrupting software update

Hi I'm very new to this so have basic techniques knowledge. I started a software update on my vu solo2 in error last night.mid update I panicked and turned the box off.it now won't boot up. I tried flashing latest version of open pli but still no good.all that comes up is the black hole screen and then nothing happens. Any help I would be very grateful stuck with no TV for the weekend.

You shouldn't have switched off, during an update, much like a PC update, has this can happen.
If you flash a new image you will lose all your settings, unless you've done a backup.
How experienced are you, with your VU+ Solo 2, and other Linux based receivers?
Have you used any of the tools, like dreamboxedit, the VUCC, VU+ Control Centre, or DCC, Dreambox Control Centre?
Have you tried pressing the Menu button, when the receiver is stuck on the boot up screen? It might be that the aborted update has wiped out your settings, and possibly channel list.
Do you know your receivers IP Address?
Do you know which version of Black Hole was loaded?
