VU Duo Blackhole 175 General Help

I am new to the setup and need a little help please. I have learn alot but have some issues I dont understand.

1. What is a service list? mine says that there is no default service list installed?

2. Does the blackhole image have a full 7 day epg intergrated like the VIX images. I could not find one so I had to install (Coolmans EPG) ?

3. I have a 1tb hard disk istalled is this fine to save the epg data on or is a usb flash drive better?

4. Can I customise the buttons on the remote control as since installing coolmans epg its removed the image defaults?

5. When I install the image do I have to install a satalites.xml file seperatly as non seem to be included in the image.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have looked all over and cannot fine answers.

1 and 5 -> Use Dreamset :see there http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/howto-dreamset-make-your-own-channel-list.7133/ you will have all your channels.
2 -> Use CrossEpg (see from main menu, setup)
3 -> Better use a usb key mounted as /media/usb, unless your hard disk will always turn
4 -> you can use multiquick button plugin (green button, yellow button to download it)

But before that why don't you flash with latest BH 1.7.9 ?

Hi Tom.

Am interested in this Plugin "Coolmans EPG" !
Dose its downloads from Epg Streams or you meant Coolmans TV guide?
Will U please give more info?

And if U follow niglou instructions,,,,soon U will enjoy traveling deep into the Black Hole Universe !
