Vu + Duo don't boot anymore

Vu+ Newbie
Hi all,

I have a big problem with my Vu + Duo, after a reboot with the switch in the back, it don't boot, nothing appears on the display of Vu+, only a LED, on the top left, lights up.

I unplugged everything and have I left only the alimentation but the problem persists?

If anyone has a solution, let me know and thanks in advance!

Gros problème avec mon Vu+ Duo, après un reboot par l'interrupteur arrière, il ne boot plus, rien ne s'affiche sur l'afficheur, il n'y a que le voyant en haut gauche qui s'allume.

J’ai tout débranché et n’ai laissé que l’alim mais le problème persiste ?

Si quelqu'un a la solution, je suis preneur et le remercie par avance!

What Ver. of BH Image you had on,,,and what color is the LED showing!
And try wait for minimum 30 mnts ,before you boot it up!

The version of the image is BlackHole 1.7.3

The LED is red.

I did a test after several hours.

To make the story short!
:wallbash: Red led is Bad!

However,
Try to re flash with new clean image!
If does not work,
then :-
Take it to the shop or seller for maintenance!
Hopefully its still under warranty!

I have try to flash my VuUtil, the port of the PC is open but when I start the Vu + with the switch on the back, nothing happens (no serial connection) I just have the red LED, on the Vu + display.

That don't smell good!

As reported by other users, you must contact your reseller and verify if they can repair your box. I don't know the reason for this kind of problem.

I ordered the module CY7C68013A Cypress EZ-USB FX2LP USB2.0 and will try to inject per jtag, and you informe.

The reseller I contacted told me not to bother to use the remote controller to shutdown my box. - Just use the the rear switch to shut down your box, he said!! I just love those kind of smart solutions!
Can there be a HW problem in the Power Supply or is it Kernel related?

I use always the RC to shutdown my boxes and all works regularly.
The reseller response is very strange....
 
Found this posted on another forum for those that can't fix their 'red led only problem'
just replace C807 220uF 16v with a new one or with 330uF 16v on the motherboard
Haven't tried this myself yet but will tomorrow.

Not Vu + Duo works, I replaced C807 with a 330 uF 25v
Everything is OK!

Non Vu+ Duo fonctionne, j'ai remplacé C807 par un 25v 330 µF
Tout est OK!
