Vu+ Duo HDD setup

Mally1979

Vu+ Newbie
Someone please help. I have an original Vu+ Duo and have installed a 500 GB internal HD and am having a problem recording and using time shift.

If I press the record button I see a message saying 'No HDD found or HDD not initialised.'

When I go through the menu - Setup, Hard Drive, Initialisation I see a message saying 'Unable to initialise hard drive. Error: Creating partition failed.

I have been told to format to fat32 and I need to partition the HDD.

I am new to all this and am struggling. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Menu > Setup > System > Hard Disk > Initialize

If this not work, could be a HW problem of HDD. Try to use it on PC with some partition manager and delete all partitions on it. If your HDD is password protected, you have to remove it (password protection).
