Did you upgrade the boot loader before to install the image?
If you didn't it, you should read the thread: Vu+ Duo Boot Loader Upgrade.

Discussions about emus, ******* ecc aren't admitted by our Board Rules.

The latest is the best, i have 1.7.0 on Duo and Uno. Try what Mito says about upgrade.

Of course Black Hole images are the best
I know what I'm talking because I have a Vu+Duo too, and this great box must have a great image.
