VU+Duo rewind and FF stopped working

Dear team,
I have a VU+ Duo running blackhole with internal 500gb hard drive.
I have had for 11 months and has been working absolutely fine until about a month ago when the rewind and fast forward buttons stopped working! I can 'skip' using 1/3, 4/6 and 6/9 but have no idea why the fast forward and rewind stopped working, and would be helpful if I could get working again - any ideas?
Thanks for anything anyone can do??
 
Does it happen with the recordings made by the same Duo, or only for external files like avi or mkv?
In the second case the behavior is regular.

PS: If you are using an old image, you should update your Duo with latest imag available (BH 2.1.3).
 
I only use the same way for recording, never anything any different.
We use it basically like the old Sly HD box we had, just set the timer, record and off you go...
Am very new to images etc might have to get my mate in to update for me... I am always of the impression, if it aint broke, dont fix it. Appreciate that things do need updates but for the Rw and Ff to stop working!

I have updated image and now I cannot watch any sky UK scrambled channel.
Freeview channels all work fine and am using same c lines on box in bedroom and all okay but just cannot get scrambled channels to work. Any advice?

I can confirm the existence of this problem. I'm using BH installed on Vu+ Duo2, version with HDD. After last updated 3 days ago, on my remote stopped working also FF and FR buttons. 1/4/7 and 3/6/9 buttons are working properly. I reboot the machine several times, several times repeated the firmware update. I also confirm that the problem relates to the old and new (made after update) recordings.
Before the update I had recorded several videos. After updating FF and FR ceased to function. I thought that that was the old recordings. I deleted all, reset the device, but the problem has not gone away. You can see that the remote controller communicates with the device (indicator flashes while pressing FF or FR).
It does not work well during timeshift.

Hi.
It seems that I messed up. It seemed to me that if I perform the software update (by selecting the appropriate item in the settings / configuration) I I update the firmware. So, it seemed to me that I get to raise version 2.0.8 to 2.1.4. For me, that did not happen.
I decided to upload image 2.1.4 again. The whole operation was successful: FF and FR works great.
