Vu+ Duo - Tuner Problem

Dani

Vu+ Newbie
I have a Vu+ Duo, it used to work fine on both tuners.
I moved it to a different address that i was installing a new dish at.
In the course of these works, it seems i may have done something to TUNER A.

It seems to have gone deaf... it does not work at good as TUNER B.

Using a known test LNB and cable, i get SNR 96% AGC 89% on TUNER B (get all pics fine)
Using the same LNB and cable for TUNER A, i get a SNR that jumps around from 30 to 80%, to zero, to 16 never stops AGC jumps from 99% to 79% with NO PICS.

Has anyone every encountered this?
I will reflash the unit with the latest firmware, but i fear something much worse has happened.

TUNER A will scan a whole sat, find ALL channels
You can even use Sat Finder and manually add a TP and it will show good strength and quality and a LOCK.

But when you jump back to watch a scanned channel... you get nothing.

I have the same problem in reverse. I installed a new image (Blackhole) to my Vu+ Duo, and set up the tuners as usual. I have two LNBs with motorised dish and use USALS. I set up tuner A with my latitude and longitude, and tuner B equal to tuner A. The dish will not move. I disable tuner B and the dish moves as normal. Everything worked fine before. I have tried the latest PLi image with same result. There are people on other forums with the same problem. Is this a bug?

Setup tuner B as Loopback connection from Tuner A and you can solve the turn problem.

This is a good idea, I will try that my self,,,I have this problem with 2 HD channels only,,I think it has to do with LNB (feed Horn) positioning , the issue started when the providers' changed the correction factors.

I of course meant tuner B set to second cable of motorised dish, not tuner A equals tuner B! Anyway I have reinstalled the latest drivers, though the files look to be identical to those already installed, and flashed the latest official image, and everything now works. Now installed the Blackhole image and all works fine. Must have been a glitch somewhere for me. Thanks for advice though. Hope it helps Dani.
