VU+ Duo usb ports not responding?

Any advice here would be great
my VU+ Duo usb ports not responding at all!
after messing around I found that will respond to only powered USB sticks & HD.
I think it ever worked even when i was on the earliest version of black hole had to use powered hard drives I am now on BH 1.7.4 still the same.
should I be worried? or is there a way to fix it.

It's suggested to use an external powered USB Hub to connect our USB devices to boxes to avoid problems on power supply...
 
I have no choice but use a powered USB Sticks the box will not respond without it,
but its awkward having to use a power adaptor for DTT stick to get Soarview in Ireland and the plug gets hot after a while.
and if I want upgrade using usb sticks its a pain pulling out the adaptor from the DDT stick and placing it the usb stick.
but could be an underline problem with the hardware of my box that about to get worse!

Man the problem is still there, I have 2 USB TUNERS now but it will only recognise one at a time, there is something wrong with the USB ports,
How to I fix this in your opinion and how do I check the USB formatting

Try to make erase format!
@the STB back U can use 2 sluts,,,which one is not responding!

They both work! But not at the same time,
One is a DVB-t stick the other is a DVB-s2 device that has been confirmed to by anglelofthesky1980.
It s when they are both in at the same time that only one is recognised.
I was on the forums before saying that the ports only respond when the USB devices are powered,
I gave a lend of my winTv DVB-t stick to my next door neighbour how bought a VU+Duo after my recomondation,
When he put the said stick in it worked on his box without a power source.
That's when I relised that there is some kind of fuse or resister blown inside the box maybe.
It's not a Clone box I am out of warranty now so I need so advice how to repair it Iam an electrician so I when a bit of electronic know how, thank you so much for taking the time to my rambleings.
What to I do to do the erase the format?

Try search goggle for fuse replacements of Vu+ , or just take it to a trust worthy shop for repair.

No I did google shearchs my own posts just show up, as for repair shops can't get anyone with the know how to repair a VU+Duo, just have to face the facts that my box is on the way out!

I can't map my external 1Tb HDD none after formating in ext3. The installed Image is BH1.7.8. What I do wrong?
