Vu Duo2 DVB-T Pixelating

Vu+ Newbie
I've heavy dvb-t pixelation during daylight hours, I'm surrounded by trees but clear line of sight to RTE's transmitter (RTE is the national broadcaster).

I'm currently using the Black Hole 3.0.3.G Kodi image but I had the same problem with Vu+ stock image - this has been a problem for over a year. I had my signal tested today, it's fine so of course the guy blamed my Duo2. Also, All digital televisions in my house work fine with RTE.

Has anyone prior experience of this problem? Did you have to replace the tuner card? Or is it that the Duo2 can't see the forest for the trees?

If you have a problem only in certain time
This can not be caused by the VU + receiver.

That means either you have bad signal due to the effects of trees and reflections or have interference from the surroundings.

In principle pixelation, this means poor signal quality .
Now, whether due to signal strength or interference in the signal.
That you should examine.

That was also my conclusion, water vapour or something is coming off those trees in the heat of day and so screwing up my signal. but you know - pulling at straws. I live smack in the middle of a few acres of trees so it looks like I'm screwed with terrestrial tv. I've to eventually add another DVB-S2 tuner to my Duo2, mod or add another dish and point it at Saorsat (RTE) instead.

Sometimes there is a problem with the connectors on a cable beside the dish , they need to be replace every few years

Thanks but my problem isn't with DVB-S (satellite side is working perfectly). My problem is with the Duo2's DVB-T tuner performance with RTE's Saorview terrestrial service (saorview is similar to the UK's freeview). According a television expert friend of mine, everything other than the Duo2 is perfect including the signal, certainly all televisions with saorview built in work perfectly.
