Think you need to learn MIPS code, and there are videos on youtube..

I think it is possible to download a de/compiler and change the xbmc binary too..

It could be very time consuming and hard though.

If you do give it a shot, I'd be grateful if you fix the media player issue whilst your in there, maybe integrate spotify and sort out pulsar too please.. :)

Seriously though, imho, this will never be fixed.

I speculated in February that we wouldn't see another update from the beta 1 (beta 2 with BH a some drivers were missed) and seems I wasn't far wrong.

We need someone to build a new image using kodi open source code for MIPS processor otherwise what we have is what it is - closed source and belongs to vu+

To learn MIPS, to code an image, to make it work, would take a very long time, and probably a lot of money to fund a university course to understand what you'd need to do.

At the moment Gotham 13.2 does a job, not great job but a lot better than anything we had before. Which is probably why we shouldn't complain.

I'm back using windows version with the htpc route much less stress. Wasted days of my life messing with the beta getting nowhere near the ease of use of the windows or Linux versions.

All part of the hobby though eh

I've made a lot of tests around XBMC on January when I've a lot of spare time and I've built also PVR addons for MIPS architecture but they are totally unusable due to audio missing or some other issues due to missing hardware acceleration for media types.

I've tried also Kodi but I've not resolved any of the problems mentioned above (audio, sync, media playback speed).

I've sent to Vu+ a list of enhancements around XBMC but I've not seen them into the the official Git server so the only way is to wait and see.

I know it's frustrating and I agree with you but XBMC uses a lot of hardware-specific code that, for MIPS architecture, is not fully avaiable to the public and this is the main problem.

damn, MIPS code?? machines??? lol i asked a simple question ,how and where to download the backend software that's all lol as i ain't got any pvr addons in xbmc
