Vu+ for watching a channel while recording other

Vu+ Newbie
Hi all, I have a quick question:

In my building there is a community satellite and I have one satellite connection in my house. Is this enough with this to be able to watch a channel and record other? or do I need two connections and it is impossible independently the vu+ I have?

In case it is possible with only one, which vu+ should I buy? vu+ Solo2? vu+ SoloSEV2?

Currently I have vu+ Zero and it works fine.

Thanks for you help

Not possible, with only 1 cable connected you will only be able to record one channel, and view another, on the same transponder, unless the connection is to a Unicable LNB setup.
Code:

Ask your building manager if you have such a system, or if you're going to get it upgraded.

So, in the case building has such a system, I would be able to to record one channel and view another with only one cable.

In that case, would I need any adapter, slitter or something like this in my house? Because I guess I would need a decoder with 2x DVD-S2 and for it I would need two inputs, am I right?

Thanks for the answer!

Unicable works differently to normal LNB's, you can view/record a number of channels using one tuner, I think it's 8 transponders.
As it's relatively new technology I would first check what system your building has, before buying a new receiver.
