Are there any guides for the newbies regarding best practice when you get a VU plus box do that we start off on the right foot

im thinking of things like

• formatting your hdd
• what epg settings to use in cross epg
• creating fav lists
• whether to power the box off at night or not
• etc

just thought i'd ask in case there was a guide anyway

still not sure why i need to create the different folders on my HDD though, i can see how its done but dont understand why i need to do it as i am recording to my HDD with no issues now
