VU+ Solo card (reader?) issues

Hi all,

I have a Vu+ solo running the latest black hole 1.7 firmware. I'm new to VU+ receivers and I've been trying to use my Aljazeera sports card for a few days now without any luck. When I visit the sports channels (scrambled) on Nilesat 7w I just get a black screen, and nothing happens.

When I tried the card on a normal receiver, the channels worked fine.

I opened my VU+ and checked the card reader's cables and the motherboard and everything looks fine... that means the card works and I assume the card reader should be working as well.

My question is: How can I check that my card is being recognized by the system - is there a certain menu or icon that I should look for? What can I do to fix this? Is the card reader malfunctioning? I only have one VU+ so I can't really try the card on another box to see if this one is the problem...

And sorry if this thread is in the wrong place, but your help would be really appreciated guys!

Officially, internal card readers on Solo and Duo boxes support natively Conax CA system.
Your subscription is Irdeto2.

So...Is any possibility with a plugin or anything else to change the internal cardreaders to Ucas?
For some recievers (e.x. Edition) some unofficial firmwares they can do this change from official Conax to Ucas
