Hello,

i would like some advice about the configuration of a hard disk on a vu+solo.
i installed a hard disk on the rear usb , i format it and mount it inside BH 1.7.2.
i also configured the stand on 20' and the problem is that the HD never stop spinnning!
when i put the receiver in stand by by the red button above the remote control, i wait for 20
minutes and even then after the hd is still spinning.
Ithe try to disable the craslog report in the system menu settings but doensn't work either.
Iknow that we don't have such a issue with a vu+duo,uno and ultimo because they use a sata
disk inside, but for people like me that use a solo with a external usb hard-disk it is a problem.

if you have any idea it should be great.

I use solo with 2 hard disks on self powered hub. To make them sleep use hddsleep plugin. I downloaded it from some forum. It hasn't been available through the feed.

hello,

i tried the plugin hddsleeep on the vu+ solo, but unfortunately doesn't work,
the hdd is still spinning long after the vu+ is in stand-by, or even after along period
during watching a movie.
and no access to the drive, all crashlog and crossepg has been disabled.
don't know what to do, it is obviously a problem only on vu+solo, because i don't have such
problem on my ultimo; but there hdd is internal thus it is maybe the reason why it doesn't occur.
if anyone has a suggestion,

Very strange. As I wrote, I have got two hdds connected to vu+ solo through back USB port and some active usb hub. One HDD is LG 320 GB (2.5') and the second one is WD 2 TB (3.5'). No problems with both of them. The first one is used as native enigma HDD (timeshift, swap, picons, epg data) and after turning vu+ to sleep mode both HDD stop spinning after defined timeout).
