Vu Solo in Coma

This is almost the same issue of the thread vu duo dead After reading it throughly i wanted to share the issue of by box.The thread title suggest that the box seems to somwhat better than compeletely dead.
here when i plugin the mains its normal green light.But there is no video on the tv,and no remote commands are working tough light blinks when any key is pressed.
And for a surprise even flash ,CFE is updated normally:dance:

The box was working finde before lightning struk and power fluctuated ,This i can confirm as TV,PC and vu solo are not working after that lighting:wallbash:.

After completely reading the vu duo dead thread and other metereal it suggested that to replace C807 Capacitor. Here in vu solo the hybrid capcitor is embedded on mainboard which requires a skilled person to replace it where as in duo its normal capacitor. Apart from it there is no value dispalayed on the capacitor.

Any how will try my level best as i feel there is a normal capacitor 47uf/400v on the power board which seems to be swollen go.I hope it gives life to the box.

Please advise

I consider to you to change complete PSU, but could be also motherboard defective (lightning).
I think, that is better to ask service center for reparation.

That is the best idea but i cannot get the complete powersupply here infact the box is under warranty but its easier for be to source new rather sending back for replacement
or repair .Apart from it i wanted to find the fault and repair so that it could benefit all of uS

It's better not to repair PSU at home - your health is more precious then money.

Health is Wealth is the saying,But when it comes to passion we are tempted :eek:.Any how replaced the capacitor but no results.Any how the lighting killed 3 Motherboards PC,TV & hopefully vu solo because if there was a fault in PSU the box,TV& PC would not have started.

I hope, that your insurance will cover all lightning damages. With PSU - I'm not joking - after lightnig there could be serious risk, that 230 V from your wall plug will enter in low voltage section! Be carefull!

warranty covered PC MB, Tv MB replaced Just Solo has to be sorted out .There is some sort of power supply issue in the main board>Just iam learning some basics of electronics and will update
