Meaning transatlantic? For Europe you probably need a really big dish
I dont know about Vu+ solo specific, but i have been in Australian homes and Us homes as well with Dreamboxes!
So probably Your box works in Canada depending what you are looking for!
I googled and found ! But nothing i would link to on vuplus-community

Dish Network 101 is a FTA channel of Dish USA provider on Echostar 14 at 119,0 W, freq. 12457 MHz, polarisation R, SR 20000, FEC 7/8.​

You will need LNB for circular polarisation. Will not work, because is analog channel.​

Other DVB-S channels of Dish USA will work with provider CAM.​

I recommend to you to choose, what do you want exactly to watch (Provider, channel, satellite covering in Canada).
And I repeat: Dish Network is not a provider. Provider is Dish USA! To watch Dish USA provider channels you have to have subscription for his channels (CI module and smart card). Solo will work with them.
