VU+ Solo2 Clone? Seller says it has latest images and VU Player?

Hi,

I'm thinking of ordering a VU+ Solo2 from Am*zon from a UK seller (with about 27 positive feedbacks). It's £257 including delivery. When I asked the seller if it was genuine here's what he replied with:

Thanks for your email,
comes with one year warranty, well its not easy to tell difference between clone and genuine, they only difference that clone does not accept latest images and does not support vu player and we tested both on these boxes and works fine, so its entirely up to you.

What do you guys reckon? Are clones able to use the latest images or is he telling the truth?

The cheapest i can see for a Solo2 that is certified as genuine is £289, so obviously looking to save a few pounds by possibly buying from this chap!
 
Read some of the reviews on that site, I saw some stuff relating to the VU+ Solo that made me think twice, I ended up using World of Satellite, no probs with them at all.
