Vu+ Ultimo Newbie questions

Vu+ Newbie
Can anybody help me with these questions?

Does the VU+ Ultimo still only support "I-frames" when viewing HD channels in PIP mode, or has that been changed to support full frame rate?

- Does the iOS app work on cellular networks or only on WiFi?

- Does the iOS App work as a remote control, and if so, can it select HD channels (despite not being able to view them in the app itself)?
- I understand the VU+ remote can be used to control selected TVs, but can other remote control units be used to control the VU+? (Use Case: changing channels through a Slingbox(tm) or a LocationFree(tm) unit).

Hoping for some quick answers, as I am just about ready to complete a purchase. :-)

More questions:

- Will the iOS app downscale HD to SD, so you can still watch the channel?

- Will the SCART connector downscale HD to SD so you can view on analog TVs?

PIP works with SD channels, HD PIP is supported by Solo2 and newer boxes.
About other brands remote controls who can manage Vu+ boxes I think there are some Logitech remotes, but I've never tested or used them.
On Vu+Ultimo there is not the Transconding support (avaiable from Vu+Solo2 and newer boxes): if you want to see channels via cellular data network you need a very fast Internet connection for your box to upload faster and also a fast cellular data network to receive these datas.

iOS app downscale: I think NO
Scar downscale: I think YES. You can see HD channels into old SCART TVs :)
