Well I think you got the original VuPlus WLAN USB dongle ??
It works perfectly with my router 144 Mb/s
As you can see on my pictures.
You can use FIX IP but also DHCP,
both methods work.

You must not connect the USB stick and WLAN dongle on the back connectors together
because it may interfere with one another.
So if you use a USB stick.
First connect only Wlan dongle
and configure as in my shots/pictures.
If your wlan working you can connect agn USB stick but not on the back connectors together.

Check the configuration of your router.
There must be a problem.
It is probably included some protocol
that does not support VU driver.

I think you have to use only WPA2,aes
so test different configurations in your router ??
and test first with VUplus wlan dongle.
This dongle working 100%

I have the same issue (Cannot generate passphrase). This is with the VTI image though, haven't tried other images yet.

I was testing Open AAF; VIX; VTI 4,0; Black Hole 167 ; BH 167 Beta 3 ; BH170, and it´s on every image the theme result ( Cannot generate passphrase)
Now i´m not the only one any more. In my german VU+ Support Forum are many ueser with the same problem. I think it´s the driver.

We are working on it.
Please specify what wifi adapter you are using.

Wi-Fi Protected Setup Status: Unconfigured
Network Name (SSID): Maxxxxx
Security: WPA2-Personal
Wireless Passphrase: *************

Most problems that you specify is related to WPS
disable wps or left not configured in your router
and in some routers use manual configuration.

If your Wlan dongle has a WPS button
attempt to register with them in your router.

So read carefully Manuel from your router
and Help in the router.

We do not have in the VU box that I know software possibility of
Wi-Fi Protected Setup.

This is help info in my router.

Wi-Fi Protected Setup Option 1
An administrator can push the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on the Basic Wireless Settings screen or the button on the front panel of the Gateway to allow a user to register a wireless client with the Gateway. The user needs to push the Wi-Fi Protected Setup software button on the client side at the same time as the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button is pushed on the Gateway. The connection will be automatically set up.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup Option 2
This is the most secure option for an administrator to register a user's wireless client with the Gateway. The user needs to give the administrator their Wi-Fi Protected Setup PIN number, which is found in the client Wi-Fi Protected Setup utility. After entering the client's Wi-Fi Protected Setup PIN number, the administrator registers the user. The user can then connect to the Gateway.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup Option 3
The Gateway's Wi-Fi Protected Setup PIN number is on the label on its bottom panel. Using any Wi-Fi Protected Setup client utility or Microsoft Vista, the user needs to enter the Gateway's Wi-Fi Protected Setup PIN number into the client device.

On exploring the BH image, I found it difficult to configure the wireless connection. I put all the details of the settings but yet is not connected. The system cannot find the wireless network or IP address or Nameserver. The system crashes (S/W Problem) when I scan the wireless networks and prevent me from editing any settings. Please advise.
