A few hours ago I got my Vu+ Zero and installed it. Works like a charm when used in the traditional way, i.e. with TV and remote. The web interface works too and I can read EPG, turn the device on and off etc.

But streaming from the web interface does not work. It gives me the m3u playlist file which I open with VLC. VLC seems to connect successfully to the box, and a red sphere also appears next to the power switch in the WebIF when VLC is "playing", and disappears when I press stop in VLC. But no video or audio appears.

The software is default (though I installed some "stream TV" from the menu at random). Software information given by the web interface is shown below. I tried to run firmware upgrade from the menus but it didn't find firmware.

Should I try some other software, e.g. OpenPLi? Or upgrade this software?
