Someone gaved me an Zero to repair , on flashing the stb with usb he dont react or flash anything , i think he did power off the zero while flashing .

Can i recover it by rs232 ? i maded an cable already.
any guide?
 
if u get NOTHING on serial, either CFE is lost or hardware issue

You can download cfe to flash, serial cable wont help, u need to use jtag/i2c cable
 
i'm trying to renew flash of vu solo , but with serial cable and putty or vu util i can't do it , i can't read anything, may i ask you if is it necessary to use jtag?
