What is the skin_user.xml for ?

My DUO2 box is running BH2.0.5 VB. It is well functioned after I intensively play in last a few days. Of course, I have received many kind helps from this community.

I am still learning. I understand the skin_user.xml controls the VFC's display. What does it also do except control the VFC? How many skins (package) are in the BH, How do they control the interface? I guess it must have a main skin package to control the screen interface as other Linux boxes. Please offer your experience and knowledges.
