where to start?

Hi there,
Just got a reciever and would like to know if anyone has any tips of where to start....
The topbox has (i'm told) the standaard software.
Should i flash diferent software and if so how?
I have never used or worked with linux before but i am computerminded.
So any tips would be great.

Your quite right..sorry forgot to mension that it is a vu+ duo hd topbox

If you wish to have an idea of what you can do with your new Duo, you could search on youtube where you can find many video showing the Duo and also other Vu+ models using the Black Hole image.
