wheres the sound?

hi there. i am fairly new to the community,and have just bought my first linux box; a vu+duo.
all is well except one thing.
when i watch sd channels,and media (films) from a usb stick, the sound is extremely quiet,almost inaudible. hd channels the sound is fine.
any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

Are you using last BH 2.0.9 image? Is your box connected directly to TV by HDMI? What channels? Is Dolby Downmix on?

hi there,
seems i posted in the wrong section,as i am running vix image v 3.0.,sorry didnt realise. however in answer to your questions,my box is connected to an av amplifier via hdmi. the problem only affects sd channels (mpeg sound). hd channels the sound is fine,unless i downmix, then those hd channels become quiet also.
if i should post in a different section please let me know.thanks.
