The filesystem type present in an HDD unit is irrilevant if you format it with Duo because the box prepare the drive with ext3 linux filesystem natively :)

HI fellas. I'm just setting up a VU+ Duo for a mate. He brought me a brand new HDD for it and I've put it in. So far it is not recognized. It doesn't show in Devices and it says No hard Disk Found in the HDD settings.

I've double checked connections and I can here it spin up.
Any suggestions please guys ?

I had problems installing an NFTS formatted into VU Duo/BH 1.3.9.2, "VU+Duo" on deco display but no video output.
To solve I've conneted that hdd to a PC, created a new raw partition (not formatted) and reinstalled on VU.
Formatted inside deco and mounted.
All works fine now.
