Zero 4K usb Tethering

I've tethered my zero 4K to my mobile phone with a wireless usb dongle. (works fine)
A stupid question is the question you don't ask... so
Can I tether my mobile phone directly to my zero 4K with a usb to usb lead?
If so is there anything I should be aware of?

I see on other forums this question has been asked before.
Its seems technically possible but needs drivers and kernel work and at the moment no-one appears to be taking it forward.
I guess when one image does it all will follow.
Maybe?
