What is new ?​

INFO: This Image has the latest drivers but CAN be installed in OpenMultiboot. The image does not need to be installed in flash.

This latest version of the Black Hole series has been updated and improved for maximum stability and performance.

Please note that of all images Black Hole now has the best epg system:

- Integrated OpenEpg

- Rytec dedicated epg.dat

- New system epg.dat outside.

This last feature offers the possibility to various forums or communities to create their favorite EPG data files and load them into a web space.

Community members can then download it from our servers.

This feature provides other benefits such as:

Increase download speed of EPG

Download EPG from any channel

Schedule the download of EPG decoder even during standby

Users can customize the providers using Add / Remove function

Didnt work LAN and Wi Fi adapters with any settings (DHCP + static IP adress) adapters not seen network and any host. Firmware was upgraded by flashing with reset all settings. Network things seems completely broken in this release.

Wi fi adapter didnt connect to mobile hotspot on my phone but other devices working fine in same time. Lan adapter dont show any activity with send/receive packets with any settings (static or dhcp not important). Network test show Adapter connected but IP adress not confirmed and DNS didnt respond Yes i write correct settings DNS(google dns 8.8.8.8 and try write local network dns), Gateway, network mask (its working fine before update to C version) About problem with WIFI i write in prev thread. Wifi have workable only after install "WirelessLan" Extension and all glitches have gone after update to 3.0.4 A firmware version. Also other user write to my PM with request help and he ask additional detail for resolve this problem(its was on prev firmware version).

There is only one bug and that is you can not use special characters
such as $% @ &

Wlan works but the problem is with our image server so the connection is bad
if you are going through Wifi at this moment.

Im also reflash firmware and problem with LAN was solved. Now lan working without problem with same settings. Interesting what show ur wifi test.

Wifi works but does not use special characters in the password.

So config all in Wifi panel see my pictures/shots
and restart ones your box.

And our image download server is probably defective so the connection is catastrophically bad with it.It can not be a true test with BH server at moment.

Many Thanks for this information ! I have special character in password, now i change password to digits (for test) and receiver connected to my mobile hotspot with DHCP settings without problem. I hope developers fix that. Thanks for fast answers, tests and fresh firmware release.

I would realy like to change from OpenVix to BlackHole ... I have loaded the image prepared the USB stick as mentionend in the How-Tos ... Uploaded the "vuplus" folder including the duo2 folder and the files behind... but my vu+ duo does not start the firmware update / Image update ... what do I do wrong?!?!?

Do you have a VU+ Duo 2 or a VU+ Duo?
There is a different image for each model of receiver.

Restore of personal backup is not restoring all settings ??
Channellist, Cec, User settings, Audio languages setup and UI pos setup is not restored

Reproduce procedure:
1. Make a "Personal backup" from 3.0.1x or 3.0.2belowD
2. Reflash box with 3.0.2d
3. Restore the "Personal backup"

Personal backup is still not working as expected.

Since BH3.0.2d the "Personal backup" is only partly working.
Network settings, Lcd4config and manually added addons/plugins is restored ok.

Tuner setup, Channellist, Cec, User settings, "Audio languages setup" and "UI pos setup" is not restored.

I do not think it's a good idea to use a backup of different BH versions.

I am referring to the versions in which significant changes were made.
As far as I can see, the backup works for BH 3.0.4 C .

As long as the "Personal backup" file is compatible , i expect it to work (.bh7) or else you should state so.


Anyways ... The "Personal backup" does not even work (for me) from the same version.

since the installation of this new 3.0.4.C version, and despite the fact that minidlna server is de-activated on BH speed-up menu, the minidlna server is running on port 8200 ... I accidentally noticed this because a "vudu02:root" icon suddenltky showed-up on my smart TV, as well as on network folder on my windows PC ....
How can I definetely get rid of this ?

Did you disable all options before deleting the plugin

Autostart and start options ?

Specifically, the entire plugin is not deleted.
dlnaserver file is not deleted,possible if active ???
