you could try the port in the line from 8001 to 8002 only works if you have transcoding setup on solo2 and duo2 try in transcoder settings 8002,1,auto,480p
example:

<stream_url>h**p://192.168.2.2:8001/1:0:1:65:65:53:CE40000:0:0:0:</stream_url>

change to

<stream_url>h**p://192.168.2.2:8002/1:0:1:65:65:53:CE40000:0:0:0:</stream_url>

for ppl that are having problems change the meo.xml remove the
at the start and the end of xml that is not closed and i dont think its meant to be there anyway had same prob removed all good sd an hd no transcoding bh 2.1.0 duo2 sammy f5400 u dont need mediatomb for this but tuner server is good for creating m3u files thats you need to get http feed from.
example:
change to.

RESPECT TO DanielFran iv been looking for this fix for ages when i first saw this thread I thought it was too hard but it was a doddle.

it was basically this: for my f5400
1. download DanielFran uploaded widget nStream
2. download samywidgets app v1.1 current from h**p*//download.samygo.tv/PC%20Applications/
3. replace in notepad meo.xml with your channel http feed from any of your channel m3u files change just a few first to try
4. save zip the file up again open samy widgets tick the box note ur address at the bottom
5. go to tv and follow steps (please note following are only for f series please check samygo wiki for your model, i only had to enter develop as user on mine with no password)
Procedure:
Press the smart hub key
Login to the develop account (Menu--->smart features--->Samsung Account--->Login (credentials are user name: develop; password: sso1029dev!)).
On the smart hub screen there is a 'MORE APPS' tab at the BOTTOM, click that.
Select OPTIONS, on the TOP RIGHT corner of screen that comes up.
Select IP SETTINGS from the drop down that comes
Enter the IP of your pc
Select OPTIONS on the TOP RIGHT corner
Select APP SYNC from the drop down list.
6 switch tv off and on go into app 1,neo,"rt1(or your renamed channel) and heypresto

thanks 1ns again to DanielFran for taking the time out to write all that. :thanks:

next mission if any 1 knows how to stream through dlna to panny vt30 and vt50 that great

:offtopic:tip for the day: ****** all the way Cs

ps, please dont remove this post moders i normally never post to help people but this fix is in high demand and not enough is being done to save the planet so heres my 2 pennys

Hi
A very useful guide.... thanks ! BUT
I have created an xml file with my channels and uploaded successfully to my tv (a Samsung 46H6500 2014 Quad core)... unfortunately, its not working. When I start the app, I see then name of the playlist and can select it with the menu keys. Clicking on it, brings up a panel on the right showing the name of the playlist with the subtext... this is as far as I can get, I cant figure out how to get the list of channels on the screen or then stream.

Any help appreciated.

PS
I can see Mediatomb from the PC fine and can see Mediatomb from the tv etc. All fine at that point. I cant actually figure out how the playlist 'connects' from the app to mediatomb or the tuner. Am I missing something ?

If you do not see the list of the channels, it is because your xml file is not correctly defined.

You will need to recreate it!

I suggest you to create a list with only 1 channel, just to be sure that it is working. Then you can add more channels to it...

Regards.

Hmmm ta, I was thinking the same but so far no joy.

I am taking the zon.xml file and putting my chanel data into it. Presume this is the right approach ?

Would anyone with a working file be prepared to send me an example plz ?

Home at the weekend and will give it another go.

Ok Update... I found my problem abd it works a treat !

The problem for me was that my bouquet name was not the name of the bouquet on my box. School boy error really. Thought I would mention it though in case anyone else faces the same challenge.

I am now busy sorting the channels I want on the Samsung.

I am streaming on a wired lan hd works a treat. I also use DS VIDEO on my Synology DS214 Play NAS to the same tv. Also streams fine. Think, if your having to transcode (port 8002) you should look at your lan config.

For a multi tuner box I need to disable the channel zap. In an M3u file I think this is the 0 or -1 that follows the channel name. Anyone tried this on this hack ?

Also... It would be great to move the who hack to English. When I have time I plan to have a go at this, let you know how I get on.

Ps
Thanks to all for the help... This is a brilliant add on in my house.

Hi,

I have Vu Uno and Panasonic smart TV. I have enabled tuner server and minidlna. I can access my media on HDD in Vu and also I can see channel list on TV via DLNA server. Unfortunately I can watch only 3 channels from the list like HTB from E36 NTV+ packet. The same is with DVB-T channels. Only one channel is possible to watch. All the rest is "file not supported". It seems that during streaming, server adds some info to the stream, that cannot be rendered by TV. Maybe any coder knows better this process and could find a solution. If I record any channel to internal Vu HDD, I can not watch this record from HDD via DLNA, but if I put it on USB media and stick it to my TV, it works. Any minds about this?

Hi,

thanks a lot for this guide. I was looking for a long time for a solution like that.

Unfortunately I have a problem which I couldn't solve till now. If I rework the XML.file with the data of my Receiver, it is only possible to watch one channel. This one channel is always the last channel in my playlist. So if I switch from one channel to another one the loading process starts but it plays again the same channel. If I remove the last channel and upload the new playlist it plays again only the new last channel of my playlist. I have uploaded and tested the file on a Samsung ES8090 and also on a Samsung F8090 but the result stays the same and it only the last channel of playlist is played. Thought that it may be an Editor problem and tried Notepad++ instead of the Windows Editor but that also didn't solve the problem. Please find my config below:

</items>

Even if I leave the bold marked lines away like stated in a previous post I get the same result.

Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong and send me perhaps a working file in which I can enter the data of my Receiver.

Thanks

There is an easier way. You can install E2Stream app on your Smart TV. You have only to set it properly with the VU+ local IP and it works very well:) You should try it out;)

There is an improvement to all this:

From time to time some channels change, or HD services are added, some channels disappear... In these cases you had to modify the yourlist.xml file, create a new nstreamlmod.zip file, and update the app in the smart tv.

You will have to update the yourlist.xml for sure, but the rest of the process can be avoided. To do that, you can upload yourlist.xml to a reachable http url (it can be a mediatomb server of the enigma2 box, or dropbox, google drive, etc...

Once you have the url of your xml file, in the start.xml file, you can change (or add) a playlist
<playlist_url>XML/yourlist.xml</playlist_url>
<playlist_url>http://whatever.the.url.of.yourlist.xml.file.is</playlist_url>

This way, you will only have to update the xml file in the server, avoiding the reinstallation of the nstreamlmod app in the tvs affected.
