You have to manually modify the skin_user.xml file.
Some XML programming skill and also some skinning knowledge are required.
I do not know whether you can do this when the receiver goes to deep standby, but you can certainly make it to display a digital clock when the receiver in standby. I have played the skin_user.xml. There are some controls in this file. Try to edit the lines under these label <StandbySummary> <global.CurrentTime> with extra care. I would like to suggest that you should think it again whether you wish the receiver stay at STANDBY for all time. The deep standby and standby are quit different for the receiver.yes i know about the skin_user xml file, but all i need is to get the vfd display to think its in standby mode all the time, just the get the clock all the time.

Make a copy before you do any editing. If anything wrong, you may use the backup file.
