My reply is only intended to point you to the correct section for your ideas.
The most correct section in this Board to talk about new ideas or new functions is the Vu+ Open Embedded & Firmware Develop

Not sure about interest from Vu+ developers!!
His do you communicate with them? At least DMM developers have an official forum and IRC channel where they talk

As said before, I've no direct contact with them. They are their own timeline like every developers have. Actually most bugs discovered are been fixed in a short period of time with only a support request from Vu+ home page.
Please don't go off topic: here we don't talk about other manufacturer/box different than Vu+.

I'm writing here because I can't send you pm or write in the development section, I'd be very glad if you could give me permission

I'm not sure what's the status of ATSC support, I guess Angelofsky1980 is busy. I guess althought not sure, you may find tremendous help over here tvheadend.org it's purely linux and they deal a lot with ATSC as well (although not enigma2) I have a question, do you need to create a completely different image in order to test ATSC? I believe DVB-T test can be done using the same image, unless this is due to the fact that DMM had allready made necessary changes in enigma2 to get DVB-T working
