Autotimer for standard BH EPG ?

Hi, i have tried elsewhere to find out if this is available but nobody seems to know. If it isn't possible I can decide what to do if I want it. I read that it works with Coolepg but don't want to load that if not necessary, I would prefer just the standard EPG.

Can anybody say yes or no to this. I did download autotimer but my recording options stay the same. A 'user defined' option is on the when to record (daily etc) bit but no idea what that means or how to access it.
This could be autotimer ? If it is how do I activate it.
User manual just says User Defined is an option but then never mentions what it is.

Hey, come on now. Is this a taboo question like SK* cards or something ?
I have asked this, others have asked on this and other forums so why no answer ?

Please, does autotimer (or similar) work with standard BH opentv EPG ? Yes or no, if yes how do I access it.
Seems a simple question doesen't it :(

Thanks for at least replying much appreciated.
I have installed autotimer but nothing happened, supposedly doing a long press of the green button makes it appear but nothing happens. It only does record, same as a short press.
It was implied but never confirmed that coolepg is used with autotimer. Nobody on here seems to ever have used autotimer with or without coolepg because nobody can say if coolepg is needed with autotimer.
No idea why anyone bothered to write autotimer as nobody is using it ?

All I really want to know is, as I have installed autotomer but without coolepg, how do I access it ? CAn't think of any other way to ask the question. May just have to switch to VIX as it looks similar to BH but says it has autotimer as atandard.

I have read your posts and I still can't understand what you are trying to achieve?I have Cool guide installed and if I want to record a particular programme in the next seven days I do an epg search and it lists all programmes and and I just add the timer to the one I want.No problem

Ok, perhaps I could explain better so I will clarify. I have asked in other posts and parts of the forums but got nowhere so...

I want to record series (for example Dr Who which is on on various days during the week) and found Autotimer would do this. This is not the standard press green to record, that works fine.
I downloaded Autotimer and installed it, long press of Green and nothing happened.
I found a post where someone said they used it with Coolepg, so I assume it works with that.
I want to know if it should work with the openepg standard epg I installed when setting up BH2.1.1.
So having added Autotimer to my version of BH should it work ? and if so how ? what is the magic sequence of events ?

If not can somebody confirm.
That it only works with coolepg ? makes little sense as if it only works with coolepg it may as well be part of it.
If it should work with standard BH epg then what do I need to make it work, I have installed it and it says 'long press of green button' to activate series record menu- it doesn't do this.
I assume I have to do something else to make it work, but what ?

Sadly BH seems an excellent bit of software let down by poor explanations/guides. Stating install Autotimer and long press green is short and inaccurate, because it doesn't work.
There must be something else but this is never mentioned. A lot of the info is like this, the BH guides are a good example, loads of info in setting up Lan and mult boot images but nothing about basics like Autotimer or the sequence to load EPG and sat lists.
Hopefully someone can help with this, as I say someone must have done this, set up Autotimer with standard BH2.1.1 to record program series yes or no.

I can't edit the previous post so will add latest info here.
I was playing with Autotimer, only way to learn it seems, and did the following - Plugins >Autotimer> DIsplays a window with Save/Delete/Add/Menu on it, no idea what this was about.
Despite not liking pressing things at random in case I do some damage I tried Add. A wizard menu appeared, no idea how to answer the questions but I did see 'set from epg' so assume this will show me the epg. Bottom line here is that the other post which said long press green does not apply to BH epg.
Seems Autotimer is a standalone app that sets up series recording all by itself and does not work through the standard EPG.

All I need to do now is figure out what all the wizard options are ?
If anyone knows please let me know, documentation again, I will try to puzzle it out and if I figure it out I will do a writeup.
So at least I know that Autotimer does work with BH2.1.1 and now I know how to access it.
