Expand xbmc screen

Good morning mates

just a quick question. I checked in the forum is anyone posted such problem but I didn't see anything similar.

After I replaced mediaplayer with mp2 and i restarted the box, xbmc is actually 1/4 of the scree on my tv. With the previous version xbmc was fitting the tv screen but now it looks like if the resolution keeps it on the top left corner of the screen.

I tried to go through the xbmc setting to expand it but there are no resolutions that would actually make it right. And of course I cannot use the zoom in/out because part of the xbmc screen will disappear from the tv screen, since the zoom expand the screen keeping the center of the image in the same position.

Any suggestion please?

On the attached files, there are 2 plugin.py files. If you use MEDIAPLAYER2 as your default player on XBMC and an MX 1920x1080 Skin, use the one named as 1080 plugin.py file moded for fiting the entire screen.

Yes ... it is! As i said, even on the guide and on severall posts, you can take a copy first to your PC of original plugin.py file ( mediaplayer classic one ).

thank you all for the efforts but unfortunately, even deleting all old files and performing the update as per advice provided, nothing has changed. When I am opening XBMC it stays still on the upper left corner of my screen.

I confirm the use of 1080 file.

Sorry for the silence but I was offline due to medical conditions.

I hope to find a solution to the problem.

Upon upload the plugin.py ( 1920x1080 ) one, to your STB, have you rebooted it ...
You must do this!

reinstalled completely BH and re-done the entire process, inclusing deleting the mediaplayer

rebooted all and now XBMC fits the screen

I do not know what it was but I guess I missed some deleting steps in the first procedure. Now everything works fine.
