There is a newbies thread http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/forums/newbies-questions-infos.102/
Post or look there for your questions.
I can't find any answer to my my precise questions. In particular since I'm speaking of dual DVB-S2 tuners in Duo 2, one motorized antenna and one fixed(smaller), feeding two different sites, one receiving two cables from motorized and the other only one cable. Then speaking on specific, not being expert and not trusting "friends", I'm asking gently and by please, professional help, hand in hand appreciated. To my sensibility and thinking , is not acceptable just say ...go there and find yourself... or there's a bill ? All the best to everybody

Ma noooo, you didn't understand me :). There is no bil to pay. You are only Out of Topic. That's why I wrote "Post or look there..."

Anyway, for first question (motorized dish) for the first Dual tuner the answer is on the beginning of this thread.
For the fixed dish is better to use twin LNB and connect both second tuners.

Thanks. I understand to connect tuner A to motorized dish (place P1) in up position, use a usals motors and unicable LNB SCR1. This is First cable for place P1, being the second from fixed antenna having twin LNB and connected to tuners B, up position ( how to connect the twin tuner B?), second cable going to place P2 (how to connect P1 and P2? or I need a second dedicated sat tuner). Could u be much prices? Sorry

hi Jarek... I am living in a flat with one feed. I am thinking to install SCR on IRS to make two feed so I can enjoy watching live and recording other program same time but I am not sure that scr spliter will work with my vu +solo 2. If vu solo 2 support scr splitter then please help.

I tried several tutorials but this is the ONE.

Thanks to who created it, thanks to who shared his knowledge, thanks to who shared the tutorial.

Now my motor is working with the SCR

@jayazad : I have the vu solo2 with motor and SCR and I confirm you it works everything like a smooth if you following this tutorial

i have a motor usals , that is quite working well when the system is well installed
there is a page from the italian inventor of it : stab-italia that helps understanding [ sorry i can post links ]
they have a page that uses google maps , it helps to find the south and the elevation that should be used with their motors

that is cool to have the first settings , but the use of a satfinder is a must , i found a SATLINK WS-6933 for 80 euro and that is a good investment , you find the real best position/rotation of the head ; if your first install is killed by the wind then you can reuse the satfinder . i called a satellite installer to ask for the price of just positioning the dish : it was 150 euro..
may be elsewhere than france , prices are more reasonable .

Hi to all,

I'm sorry to bother but I definitely need help because I'm on the verge of loosing my sanity. I've been having nightmares of smoky zombies chasing me with VU+ DOU2 glued under heir armpits. Please help me, I've never owned a VU+ before but everybody I asked convinced me to go for it. After seeing the glowing reviews I couldn't help but to buy it and I have no regrets.

So two weeks ago I bought VU+DUO 2 Full HD 1080p 1x DUAL DVB-S2 & DVB-T2 & 2 TB HDD. I've been trying to set it up with Alsat Superior Dark Motor which I bought in the same day. In addition, I bought a LNB Inverto Unicable IDLB-QUDL42-UNI2L-1PP.

As instructed, I spent two weeks scouring all the threads and following all the steps but so far I haven't managed to get a fix. I'm only managing to get one satellite each time. Everytime I try to go others, the motor doesn't respond. I believe that the problem stems from Tuners configuration or and LNB. Basically, would like to get a fix just for satellites: 30 Hispasat, 7 Eutelsat, 13 Hot Bird, 19 Astra1L and 28.2 Astra.

Could someone kindly and patiently explain which steps I should take PLEASE? Starting from how many cable I need to connect to Unicable LNB (there are 3 ports LNB1, LNB2, and the third (golden) look like the loop symbol), to how to connect them at the back of DOU2 and the Tuners configuration. What's more, on latitude and longitude I get these positions from Dishpointer: Latitude 51.0390 and Longitude -0.07463. How do I insert these values onto sat positioner?

Please help this dazed rookie.

Many thanks in advance

No worry.
Steps in the first post are ok.
It's based on my personal setup and my rotor (USALS) with a Unicable LNB can drive the rotor without problems.

Hi i trying connect my vu+ uno 4k se to USALS with a Unicable LNB but i have problem . its not working. could you help me with that ?
sometimes i need to watch sometching on hotbird 13 on the tv and pc (two different channels) and sometimes sometching on the astra 19.2 on the tv and pc (two different channels).
My connectection between tuner and usals dish is by one cable because i have S2X FBC with virtual tuners (tuner->usals->dish)
Could you help me with that please ? or maybe it is impossible to do like that?
No worry.

You cannot tune into different satellites, with a single LNB, when your dish is pointing at 13E you can only receive channels from 13E.
A Unicable LNB allows you to do multiple recordings, on different transponders, and still view other transponders, on the satellite your dish is pointing at.

You could fit a bracket, and add a second LNB, 6 degrees apart, so that you can view two different satellites, at the same time, that are 6 degrees apart, or a second, fixed dish system, with multiple LNB's, to view as many satellites, as you can receive, at the same time.

If you only view 13E, and 19.2E, then it might be best to get a fixed dish, with 2 LNB's, and run the requisite cables.

I hope he meant he wanted multiple tuning whilst pointing at a certain satellite, otherwise it means is not clear to him what a motorised dish is... ;)
A motorised dish and a SCR/Unicable LNB makes sense only if you usually point at a preferred position and only occasionally want to get other ones.
