is any boday else had problems with the vu duo2 remote control the one that is silver in the middle and is half round at the bottom of the remote mine in the end wold not work with the silver butions in the middle I boughjt a uni versal in the end the black type from wetre I bought the duo from there sent me a new remote to it arrived to day the silver type just asking if any other member have had the same problem with the new type of vu remotes kind regards simon
 
Original duo2 RC's are very weak and bad quality. Especialy when they are not lying out of work :) Translating enigma, I use central arrows, Menu and Back buttons most and they starts to fail very soon. The last one remastered changing the springs under the buttons from old Nokia :grin:and it is working well - sensitive and accurate. But when I need to manage TV, sound bar, duo2, and Arris IPTV and HDMI CEC is not enough for it, I use Logitech harmony 650 universal control and original duo2 remote control is gathering dust without work. And I can say - it works well!

Mine too is silver and the buttons don't work very well after a year...so I opened it and cleaned it and super glued aluminum foil, tiny pieces under the buttons that had a contact problem and now it's like brand new again.....hope this helps

yes there crap I got another VU one and it works a treat (like the orginal Duo one type)
 
hi any boday using the double sided vu remote iv seen advertised one side is the remote the other side is a key board there black with the vu logo at the bottom there are £39 there look good
 
You can repair your vu duo remote! There are tutorials on you tube. You need screw driver, hair dryer and paper pen.
I was hesitating to do it because it looks so simple. When dismounted, you write with the pen on the face that make the contact. This put some more graphite....and you get a remote like new!
I did it on mine and yes it really works.
