Manual Scan Issues

Vu+ Newbie
When attempting to add feeds through a manual scan, I just get 0 Channels found.



I have attempted to find feeds from Satelliweb and other sources inputting the frequency, polarization etc. however once the scan is complete, it doesn't find any channels.



I'm using a Vu+ Zero on OpenATV



Am I doing something fundamentally wrong?



The feed I was attempting to scan for was:

10E

11023 V 7200

4.2.0

GCUK Enc 6

On my manual scan options I set:

Type Of Scan User: Defined Transponder
System: DVB-S
Satellite: 10.E Ku-band
Frequency: 11023
Inversion: Auto
Symbol Rate: 07200
Polorisation: vertical
FEC: Auto
Network Scan: no
Clear before scan: no

I just receive "no channels found"... Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

But he said "feeds", not regular broadcasts.
They're temporary and not listed on "some web sites" that you suggest, but on special ones along with keys to decode the transmission, which can be arguably considered as "illegal viewing" ;)
 
OK, I didn't know that and I thought this was just one of the many cases in which people use words not very accurately because they are not good at English. So, if you are right and he did not mean channels by the word feed, it seems he did not read our forum rules...

There is only one channel at 11007 and another one at 11112.

As mentioned by @Gold_66 - I was looking for FTA feeds that were apparently on that transponder.

The feeds I had seen were FTA feeds.

I have seen mentions of Transport Stream Type etc. that my Zero doesn't have an option for in the manual search fields...would this be an issue?

It feels like I am doing something wrong somewhere.

You're right, I made a search with given data and found the site it was listed:

Usually they're encrypted, especially those with names containing "Enc" ;)
Firstly, you need a quite large dish to receive feeds properly.
Other than that, I've never seen any, but if the feed is being broadcast in "multistream" type, you need a different box that is capable of receiving it.
I always read that TV cards are best for feeds, as they can catch them in many formats including 4.2.0 , 4.2.2 , etc.
