This is not a bug! Randomly missing picture/sound or both Quite often!!!

Helle people, I am new in here and Hence this, I do apollegise in advance, if I have missed the information somewhere!

I have boght a Vu+ Duo, And is quite impressed, with what you can get, for such a small amount of money!
I have previusly had a Dreambox 7020, but that was setup for me. SO I had no real knowledge of how this works.
I got the box up and runnig, and tried different images, until I decided, thaty BH is the one I like the most!
BUT I have one "funny" problem, I cant find any information about.
YES I have searched the net, and alot of forums about this, with no answer worth using!

SOMETIMES when I change channel, I will end up with a channel that has no picture, but sound... OR no sound, but picture, or no sound and picture.......
IF I go back to the previus channel, it still works, but if I change to another channel, Ill have the same problem there! and so forth!

IF I restart the gui, the chanel will turn up and work. Then it will work perhaps only to my next chanel switch, OR perhaps I can change chanel 10 times, before the problem comes back.

Evrytime, a reset get me my channels back. BUT a small test this morning (morning in Denmark now :p) had me restart the gui 4 times, checking 6 chanels!!

I have a setup like this:
1 parabol with 2 heads, taking 0,8 and 5... the two cables goes into a "box" and one cable from there to the sat reciver. I do have another parabol, where I will make the same setup, to the other reciver on the box, for PIP and recording one chanel while watching another BUT this will have to wait until later today!!

The logfiles shows the same, if I change to a working chanel, as if I change to a non working!
I have tried different soundtracks, I have tried the mute,unmute..
It worked fine with the Dreambox 7020 !! SO any idea on what is wrong.

1st of all that is NO bug in BH image!

Can U give more info:-

What BH image U have....and is it a clean one or Backup!
And have U updated your STB with the latest Drivers!
Mostly the issue/problem , U"r having, is related to Drivers of the STB.

We need some infos about your operations.
What image, what driver you have installed, what channels and sats with details about them....
 
Sorry was out working today :-)

The Image was the newest one (yesterday)
I havent updated drivers ((Gues I AM a noob) The sats are Viasat and Canal Digital, on 0,8 and 5 degrees..
Channels is RANDOM, there is absolutely NO channel, more hit than another!
BUT it seems updating drivers, is my first priority. I just need to figure out, HOW it is done!!:-)
BUT I gues, it cant be that complicated!

Well I just updated to dvb Modules 3.1.1 - 4.4.3 and the problem persists!
(IF I updated it correct, coppied the files into the folder, with the files, that had the same name! (something like Modules/311/Extra)

Anythin else I should update? OR did I misundestand something?

1.ftp new drivers (or install a new image from today)
2.restart box
3.scan satellites
 
I just hope, it is not the box it self!
HOW do I reset the box back to factory default, in all?? IF´I have to send it back??
and after that factory default, do I install factory image?
OR do I not need to reinstall image before repair?? (IF I get to this point!!)

Do not panic...!

Did U install the New BH 1.7?.........Just say YES or NO, please!
If Yes,,,,what do U have now...Operation wise (what U see : and explain it: setp-by-step)?

We are here to help U to have fun w/BH iamge!
 
I have the 1.6.7.
I will be home in 10 minuttes, where I will update to 1.7 AND rescan :-)

What do you mean by : what do U have now...Operation wise? ??
Just if it gets better? more so I know what to look for, when I am done updating :-)

No need to update drivers, just install the BH 1.7 image and NO need rescan...just use one of the channel setting available @ BH server add-on....and read my other post again, I made some edit to it!

Plus, check your LNB, dish aliments , cable connections, may be your problem is there!

I also reconnected my old Dreambox 7020 AND my Viasat reciver. both works without problems, so it is only with this Vu+ Duo

What is your actual sat and dish configuration?
 
I have simpel, with 2 sats, on the first, I have 4,8 on the second, i have 0,8 Viasat and Canaldigital
Two heads on the same disk!
