How do I install a BH 1.7.8 image light on Vu+ Uno pls?

Hi,

I have a Vu+ Uno and I would like to install a BH 1.7.8 image light for the first time.

I have already upgraded the FPGA to 4.5 but the original image has never been replaced.

Any links or instructions how this is done will be appreciated.

How to upgrade the Vu+ Duo BH image via USB

1-Save the image on the PC (USB version)
2-Unzip files
3-Format USB flash drive with the file system FAT,or FAT32
4-Create on the stick : Directory/vuplus/ (write the type of STB U have : duo,, Uno.. ultimo,,etc)
5-Copy to the stick the 3 files into Directory/vuplus/ (write the type of STB U have : duo,, Uno.. ultimo,,etc)
6-Power off VU+ STB
7-Remove all USB devices from the box
8-Plug-in the USB Stick into Vu+ Box
9-Turn on the VU+ STB
10-Firmware Update will start automatically
11-Wait for the VFD to display "Finished ... please reboot"
12-Unplug the USB Stick from the box
13 Power off the VU+ STB , and restart it again
14-Wait for Image to Reboot

Then follow instruction on the TV screen!

You are right, for Vu+Uno the directory has to be named uno not duo.

Yes,,U are wright,,,!
The best way to unzip files directly to USB,,,,Then no need for steps>> #4&5!
I always do it this way!

Concerning Vu+ Uno, the firmware update will NOT start automatically. You have to press CH- button on the front panel of the receiver when prompted after turning on...
 
it is the case that even on the VU SOLO , I have to press the CH- to start running after loading the software ? because mine is remaining in a black image , like it is nott starting ? thanks

With Duo and Solo the flash process start automatically. With Uno and Ultimo the user must press CH- on the box to start flash from USB.
 
Does the new flash change all settings for motorized system and all has to be redone?

Yes, after installing a new image you need to setup the box again.

However, if you have an hdd or an usb stick connected to your box, you backup your settings by Software Manager or, if you are using a Black Hole image, by BH Personal Backup.
Obviously, after installing the new image, you have to restore the backup.
 
I've tried to install on my vu+ solo but nothing happened, the green light is flashing for many time,what is the problem???
