personal back up with new BH image

I have been trying to do a personal back up since I have put on my new image. I map my usb as usual but when i go to do the personal back up it just will not recognize the mapped usb (when I go in device, usb is read as media/usb) and get the message personal backup not found. I have now tried 2 USBs which I have used solely for this box and had done previous back ups with them
What can i do?

Look in Devices Manager>>RED Mountpoints

and in personal backup Menu panel >> yellow Setup

Is everything ok
 
with hdd work perfect, use my backup on v2.0.0 with the new image v2.0.1

mount and setup your device it should work
 
thanks for your messages but regret to advice that I had already done all this without success and that is the reason I came on here.
I have re flashed image but problem still persists. I am wondering if I got some virus in my box.
Should i try a factory reset?

I repeat
you have not formatted and made USB stick mount.
If you using USB stick for backup.
Look in Devices Manager>>RED button Mountpoints if your USB stick is mounted ??

first of all thanks for your help. I had done all you are saying. (this was not the first time as I have backed up several times before).
I have now tried to do a factory reset but system just cancelled my setting and channel/sat lists but is still staying on BH 2.0. I have unplugged system tried to again factory reset but still the same. SI would imagine that factory reset would wipe out BH, no?

I forgot to ask a question. Is it possible that I can format the whole box and then load BH on again?

factory reset will delete all your settings so image will get back to its initial state - you need to set up everything from the scratch (as you wrote above)

you can re-flash your box what means everything will be erased and new image loaded

thanks for your answer.
My situation is that when i did factory reset I still got BH 2.0.1. I have also re flashed but i still cannot get anything else to install. I tried a plug in from BH add ons.. it says that it has installed but plug in in not there. When i go back to it, it will show that it can be downloaded meaning that it did not install. This I have tried several times and i truly believe that I have some virus in it which i believe is from a previous third party plug in I had downloaded as problem started after this installation. I did delete this plug in but it seems to have left its mark.
Is there some solution for me or is my box ruined?

don't panic mate. There is no virus.
As I wrote before - factory reset will wipe out all your settings (channel list), plugins, etc But it will not erase your image.
Your box should be clean and will work as fresh install of 2.0.1.
What do you mean by

I understood that you're coming from version 2.0.0. Is that correct?
You have old backups from 2.0.0 saved already on your USB. Correct?
 
I have now started all from scratch and managed to load an add on plug in. I am hoping that now all will be well again.
At moment I am re scanning all sats i can get from 42E to 30W so it will be a while till I can try other functions such as going into Avalon etc.
I will report back to let all know final outcome.

I need another answer if possible: I will be running in Avalon with abt 15 gb of free space. Is it possible to run HBBTV and maybe also a web browser?
p.s. I have a vu solo with latest BH image of course..

I would like all to know that everything seems Ok now. Also I have the opera browser running but cannot seem to see HBBTV, maybe i am missing something somewhere. this is of course running in Avalon universe.
