Adding satellites to vu+duo

Just got my vu+ duo out that been sitting around desired to set up.
Just have a problem I'm stuck with trying to add satellites like Optus
C1 and d1,d2 I'm in Sydney Australia . I have dish and lnb set up want
Reconize that.

You should update / replace the satellite.xml file into the box with one who cover your satellites.
There are some website who can generate a satellite.xml file for Enigma2 boxes with your desired satellites.

After replaced the file in the box, reboot it.

Hi Chris,
To follow Admin recommendation, and updating the Satellite.xml, do the following steps,
and install the plugin Sat-loader.

1-Go BH Feeds Plug-in : press Green>Yellow> Addons Download Manager > BH Feeds Plugin.






2-Press install Green.



3- After the plugin installation, go the BH Green Panel (press Green), pick the installed plug-in



4- Chose the proper satellite feed, press Blue for Multisat



5- After picking the Satellite covering your area, press OK (green)



Now your Satellite.xml should be updated, then use AutoSacn to update the transponder channel list!

Hi guys, sorry for my post, this post is old, but I have a problem.

I'm new here and new with VU+, I bought a VU+ Solo 4k, I tried to do what you said but it didn't work for me, when I replace the "Satellites.xml" in tuxbox folder and put again in VU+, it updates, but it stucks and it doesn't start again. I have to update with the original files from the vuplus website to make the VU+ work again, anyone can give me a little help?

Thank you for your help, I need the sattelite Star One C2 C4 and I couldn't find on that thread, I'll try to explain better what is going on.

I found a complete list of the file Satellitesxml on engrense, so I put the file in etc tuxbox, replace the original one, this folder etc tuxbox is inside the file rootfs, so I used Powerarchiver2015 to do that.

When I insert the flashdrive in the Solo4k the file rootfs is compressed, is that correct? I tried to uncompress the file but it didn't work, the device coundn't read anything.

Ok, after that I put the flashdrive in the USB, turn on the VU+Solo4k (yes it is the original one) and follow the steps, the device reads the flashdrive and starts doing the update, the the device reboot itself, after the reboot the device stucks and doesn't start anymore, so then, I have to do the same steps with the original archives that I downloaded from the VU+ and then it works, but with a satellite that I don't need.

I tried a different thing, I edited the original file Satellitesxml and insert only the information from the satellite Star One C2 C4, did the same steps and after reboot the device stucks again.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I have to do something else.

Any help is welcome, thank you.

What do you mean etc tuxbox is inside the file rootfs ???

You need to do this within the installed image file to replace with FTP connection
in / etc / tuxbox/satellites.xml
After replaced file reboot box.

Of course you must have a good satellites.xml

I'm doing this using Windows, cause this is the way that is explained on vuplus website, I don't know how to do this using FTP Connection, look at the print I made.

Is there any thread about how to do this using FTP Connection?

It is very important to learn to use some FTP program,Channel list editor and Edit program.
I use for years Total Commander,Dreamboxedit,Editpadlite programs for Windows (All Free for personal use)
With these three programs you can do (to say) everything you need in your image / box

For FTP You can use Total Commander for windows

The channel list is the easiest to change,edit,upload,download from your box with dreamboxedit program for windows

And with dreamboxedit you can upload new satllites.xml in to your box image.
First download existing satlist and satellites.xml , replace satellites.xml and upload back .

Dear MATRIX10, finally I understand how it works and finally I use FTP to replace the xml file and then I found the satellite Star One C2, but now I have another problema that I couldn't find in this forum, I found the channels but when I try to put in one of this channels nothing happens, so a friend told me I have to have another satellite dish to get the codes, so how do I do that? Is there a thread explaining how to do that?

I made a search about IKS or SKS or dongle for VU+Solo 4k, but I couldn't find. Or do I need a plugin to use it?
