Can someone explain this for me?

I must be stupid but is it possible to adjust the bright white power button shining all night long in the room?
This drives me crazy if its a possible way to adjust it and i can't find it...

It's not probably the most elegant solution, but in cases like that I covered the LED with a small piece of dark tape: in this way the LED is very dimmed but still visible.
